Grid View

Highlight the dataset to view and click the icon for Grid from the Views menu. Alternatively, right click on the dataset, select View > Grid.

All selected fields will be listed on the data grid. The following data types are included:

  • Integers

  • Doubles

  • Strings

  • DateTime

Grid view

All the data records of the selected fields will be listed in a data table.

  • Field names are shown at the top of each column.

  • Data rows are numbered sequentially from 1.

  • Bad quality data is not listed, and is represented as a blank value on the data table.

Scroll through the data records using the arrows in the panel below the canvas to move between pages in the dataset.

Pages

The number listed in the text box is the number of the record that is viewed at the top of the page. Type in the number of the specific row number in order to read the values of that record.

Alternatively, click the required icon to scroll through the data to the following placeholders:

  • next / previous page of data

  • a jump ahead / behind in the data, at intervals relative to the size of the dataset

  • the last page of data entries, or the first page of data entries

Configuration

Select the fields to be viewed on the data grid. By default, all fields are selected. Change between fields viewed using the [>] and [<] buttons to select and deselect fields.

Use the [up] and [down] arrows to rearrange the order of the selected fields.

Rows per page: define the number of records to view per page, up to a maximum of 100.
